MOSIBUL
2022
‘MOSIBUL’ ( 불 [Bul] means fire, flame, and light in Korean) is indirect lighting with ‘MOSI’ fabric.
It is used leaning against the wall to enhance the visual effect of the weave of the ‘MOSI’ fabric itself and Ott painting with the light. Mosi fabric has good light permeability so the source of light is designed to indirectly shine through the wall rather than directly illuminating the fabric.
The wooden frame is made of oak, reducing material waste by minimizing the cutting of raw materials and modularizing the proportions of the parts that make up the structure uniformly. Under this plan, the two wooden boards on both sides not only support and stand the structure but also create a path for light to diffuse subtly.
The Mosibul is the first attempt of the studio Yoon Seok-hyeon to apply the advantages of Mosi fabric to everyday objects.
